Surgery Day

Today was the big day but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was really dreading the whole thing after all the stories that I had been told. But!! I forgot we have a super good kid!! We couldn't feed him after midnight and had to be at the surgery center at 6 am. He could have cared less about eating because there was a whole new world to check out and it also helped because Gigi, Nana, Poppy and Papa were there. Oh, and there was also a little kid in a green pj outfit running around like crazy that Tucker found hilarious!!! He listened to everything that the Doctor and nurses had to say and of course smiled at everyone. He was only gone from us about 20 minutes but it was the longest 20 minutes EVER!! They warned us that he wouldn't be happy when he started waking up and boy were they right. He finally calmed down after awhile and he was released around 10 am. He played nonstop once we got home. I was really prepared to be caring for a "boo boo baby" all day but quite the opposite. You can tell he feels so much better now and he hasn't quit jabbering since we got home. So, surgery was a success!!!!

Boo Boo Baby to a new doctor....

After two months of fighting ear infections we had our first appointment with the ENT today. Tucker put on a show in the waiting room. He was so busy and got to laughing out loud several times....needless to say we had several people watching the "sick kid" treat us like a jungle gym. When they finally took us back to an exam room Tucker had to check the place out. It is so funny to watch him find something new these days. You can tell by the look on his face that he is studying everything. When the doctor finally came in to talk to us Tucker was so good. He got real still and listened to every word he had to say. He didn't even fuss when he looked in his ears. The verdict is we are getting tubes. We are scheduled to go in on April 30th. I know this is a routine procedure but I still don't like it. Please keep Tucker in your thoughts and prayers.

Happy Eight Months!!!!

I can't believe that Tucker is already eight months old. Time is going by way too fast!!! He is doing so many new things everyday. Our latest is standing up and holding onto the ottoman. He would rather us not hold on to him but that is just to bad. He is an independent little man!

Happy Easter!

Tucker had an awesome Easter. He ended up getting three Easter baskets and a car!!

Here he is with his basket from the Easter Bunny.

Going through the Easter basket from Gigi and Poppy.

And, with his basket from Nana and Papa who also got him.....

a car!!!! He is so funny when we ride him around the house in it. His hands are always on the steering wheel like he knows exactly what he is doing. He hasn't learned how to honk the horn on his own yet but it won't be long.

First Cardinals Game....

Cardinals baseball started Monday but it was an afternoon game so we missed it. Didn't miss today's game though!!! Tucker got to watch his first Cardinals game and they won!!!!

Boo Boo Baby...Again

When I picked Tucker up from daycare yesterday his eye was beginning to swell, so I called the doctor. "Just watch it" I was told and if the swelling is what you consider severe then bring him in. Well at 2 a.m. this morning I think I had a few choice words for that nurse I talked to. So, we went to the doctor this morning and it's another ear infection. I do think we caught it earlier this time because he hasn't been as fussy, but my what different symptoms we had!!
